How hard it is to write this.
Never harder…
Our Matija Čavrak, known among the Vodomars as Čagalj, left us far too soon today, leaving everyone in deep sorrow and pain.

A husband, father, friend, colleague, buddy, athlete, member of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS), mountaineer, and our fellow Vodomar. He was all of that — and so much more.
Our encyclopedia of diving equipment, our eternal enthusiast, a true lover of diving, an elephant when it came to remembering dive sites, a man with a goofy and infectious laugh.
A cheerful and open spirit, always ready for action and advice.

You left so many people in tears, but also with beautiful memories and stories.
Today, we had a beer in your name, talked about all the anecdotes, our moments with you — during dives and beyond — on the Vodomar terrace and the one at the fire station.

And that’s what matters most — that we’ll remember you with a smile, with pain in our hearts, but still a smile.
Because you were the smiling soul of the club, and for that, we thank you for everything.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family.
Rest in peace, dive through the endless heavenly depths, remember the dive spots — because we’ll meet again, and you’ll be our buddy.
